The muffler leaked a lot at the joint and the springs were too long. I had to TIG weld them together. But now it sounds really good and it looks nice on the bike.

I put this stainless muffler on my 2022 PanAmerican Special about 300 miles ago. I removed the stock system without difficulty and installed the pipe and muffler with relative ease. I would advise that you use the exhaust clamps from the stock system if you remove the gasket insert from the stainless pipe as the one sent with the kit does not seem up to the task. The stainless muffler is on the loud side which fits my preference. I want cars to hear me. The quality is good. You will likely need a heat shield where the pipe bends up behind your right leg. Excellent bargain.
